As an Assistant Producer, I had the opportunity to explore multiple departments within the company, gaining a well-rounded understanding of game development. Initially, I worked closely with the narrative and sound design teams, where I handled documentation and collected data to support effective planning later in the project.
I then spent time with the LiveOps team, shadowing their meetings and discussions to learn about the live-service aspects of game development. This experience sparked my passion for gameplay and engagement design, particularly in the realm of LiveOps. Additionally, I provided support to QA and playtesting teams, helping to ensure quality and functionality throughout development.
My responsibilities also included measuring and monitoring various teams’ progress against the development timeline. I communicated with individual contributors and leadership to provide regular updates on current deliverables. I also assisted in defining deliverables and building backlogs in JIRA, working with both the development team and leadership to align our planning efforts.
In a support role to other producers, I contributed by managing documentation in JIRA, Confluence, and Drive, as well as supporting them with processes and methodologies during high-demand periods. I assisted in the creation and maintenance of tasks in JIRA, followed up on planning assignments, and reviewed milestone backlogs to keep tasks on track.
